The Ford Police Interceptor Utility. Those things can take a beating, and deliver the hits in a chase. One can only imagine how sturdy they are in daily-driver duty. The main issue is choosing the right one. They come in different configurations.
I don’t want the ecoboost cars. Rather, I’d prefer to get the PIV with the 3.7L V6. Turbos annoy me, too many moving parts. :p
Also, here’s a police chase that happened this month. This stuff is what you’d see on
World’s Scariest Police Chases, or World’s Wildest Police Chases.
John Bunnell would be proud.

This reminds me of all the people who complained that the Interceptors would never be as strong as the Crown Vic’s.

So this thing?

That thing. The police typically retire the cars after a certain amount of idle hours/mileage (usually around the 150,000 mark), or after a set amount of years, whichever comes first.
They often go for decent prices at auction.

Interestingly, this is also about a mile from Ford’s product development/world headquarters.
Also for those unaware, I believe those shots fired were the 300 driver taking his own life:

Wrong. The suicide happened after he pulled into the parking lot, and after he took several potshots at the pickup truck through his own car’s windows. Look at the video closely.

WTF, were they chasing the Ram driver to kill them? Your life is worth more.

Dude in the silver car was a jilted ex-boyfriend. Dude in the black truck is new boyfriend. Naturally...

Just make sure you get one that doesn’t poison you with exhaust fumes!

Your lizard brain is supposed to be in the “back” of your head, not be your driving force.

Pretty much, yeah. What really caps this all off is the fact that the attacker committed suicide at the end of it all. I mean, what? Dude probably realized he fucked up so bad.

I misunderstood the article then, I thought he had taken shots at the truck before the chase ensued. Also appeared to me that the 300 just started coasting after the shots were fired.
